B. Riley Securities in Arlington, VA is seeking a Research Associate to join our equity research team. You will develop fundamental analysis, build financial models, and contribute to investment theses under senior analysts, with clear paths to promotion.

From day one, you’ll engage with management, participate in earnings calls and investor days, and help draft institutional reports while advancing through a structured development track and licensing support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, accounting, healthcare, or related field.
• Undergrads not accepted.
• CFA designation or active candidacy preferred.
• 1–4 years of experience in equity research or related finance (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Identify actionable investment opportunities through fundamental research.
• Develop differentiated investment theses with catalysts and risk/reward.
• Monitor coverage universe for inflection points and communicate timely calls to team.
• Present stock ideas in monthly associate program competitions with conviction and supporting analysis.
• Conduct deep-dive industry research and primary research initiatives.
