D.A. Davidson & Co. is seeking a Research Associate to support senior analysts in delivering differentiated equity research for institutional clients in a fast-paced environment.

You will collaborate with Analysts, develop financial models, and help prepare research materials that aid investment decisions. The role emphasizes rigorous analysis, strong writing, and effective communication within a team setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum 3.5 GPA.
• CFA a plus.
• Recent grad or up to 1 year of experience in equity research, investment analysis, or other relevant accounting or finance related work.
• Bright, mature, and highly motivated with the desire to excel and ability to adapt in an intellectually challenging environment.
• Passionate about capital markets and a desire to become highly skilled in equity research.
• Securities Industry Essentials Exam, Series 86, 87 and 63 licenses strongly preferred but not required.
• New hires will require successful completion if not held.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a team and work well on a self-directed basis.
• Effective communicator with excellent writing and presentation abilities.
• Working knowledge of MS Office, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Support Research Analyst(s) in making bold calls and producing actionable research for institutional clients.
• Researching market and industry trends and company specifics to become an expert in the assigned sector.
• Creating, maintaining, and updating data in financial models, and creating tables and graphs that clearly illustrate the information.
• Formulate and issue opinions and recommendations on securities and companies in one or more industry groups.
• Prepare reports and statistical data for dissemination to firm clients and the investing public.
• Answer inquiries from customers, personnel of the firm, and the general public regarding individual securities or industry groups.
• Discuss research findings with Sales & Trading associates and institutional clients.
