Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced equity research professional to collaborate with investment teams and deliver actionable insights. You will conduct bottom-up fundamental research, build financial models, and draft comprehensive reports to support investment decisions.

You will partner with investment professionals, monitor holdings, analyze industries, and communicate findings effectively. The role requires curiosity, strong analytical skills, and the ability to travel for research trips.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in equity research, investment banking, consulting, accounting or related fields.
• Extensive experience with detailed financial modeling and fundamental analysis.
• Experience working with sell-side firms and industry consultants.
• Familiarity with research tools, trade publications, online sources and regulatory filings.
• Passion for a career in equity research and strong interest in long-only investing.
• Ability to develop and maintain comprehensive charts and visualizations for equity analysis.
• Intellectual curiosity and analytical skills concerning financial markets and industry trends.
• Sound judgment in resolving conceptually complex matters.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate and maintain relationships inside and outside the organization.
• Willingness to travel for research trips.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, STEM or related field.
• Familiarity with Python, SQL, LLMs, Tableau, PowerBI and data platforms is a plus, but not required
