Job summary

Bank of America’s Restaurants team in New York covers about 24 listed and selected private companies in the restaurant and foodservice distributors sectors. The role requires deep analytical skills, financial modeling experience, and a passion for research.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience.
• At least 1 year of equity research, wholesale credit, buy-side, or investment banking experience.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to multi-task.
• Proficient in MS Word and MS Excel.
• Thrives in a fast-paced and intense environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Interest in stock market research and desktop/field research.
• Understanding of economics, macroeconomics, international affairs, and policy.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex financial modeling and valuation work.
• Develop and analyze databases integral to research products.
• Seek out new, unusual sources of information.
• Respond to client inquiries in a timely and effective fashion.
• Write regular industry and company reports and launch initiations from scratch.
• Demonstrate strong industry knowledge and business judgment.
• Work with Senior Analysts to develop key industry themes.
• Build relationships with contacts at covered companies and facilitate information flow.
• Participate in client meetings and events.
• Attend meetings and interact with key opinion leaders.
• Closely follow market, industry and company-specific activity.
