An established equity hedge fund investment manager based in the Miami area is seeking an Equity Research Analyst to join the firm. The position provides a unique opportunity to work directly with the Portfolio Manager as part of a small investment team with a long history of success and a culture of mentorship. Candidates should possess superior mathematical skills and have a strong history of academic excellence as evidenced by an undergraduate degree from an elite institution, a high GPA (3.8 or better) and exemplary standardized test scores. Candidates should ideally have an undergraduate degree in finance or economics with at least two years of work experience at a top tier investment bank, management consulting firm or investment firm. Recent graduates with exceptional backgrounds will also be considered.

Position Responsibilities:

• Analysis of public equities across all sectors and market capitalizations
• Conduct primary research through company filings, transcripts, management meetings and other sources
• Evaluate prospective investments presented by the fund’s Portfolio Manager and over time generate original investment ideas
