Job summary

Santander is seeking an Equity Middle Office Associate to oversee the post-trade lifecycle for U.S. Equity products.

You will collaborate with Trading, Sales, Operations, Technology, Risk, Compliance, and external market participants to ensure timely settlement and robust client service. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in Equity Middle Office or related roles, with a strong grasp of settlement workflows (DTC/NSCC) and experience across cross-border markets.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Equity Middle Office or related operations.
• Strong understanding of the equity trade lifecycle including settlement processes.
• Experience with cross-border settlement workflows and market practices.
• Post-trade processing for convertible bonds/arbitrage is a plus.
• Advanced Excel; SQL, Power BI, Python or Power Automate preferred.
• Interest in AI, automation, and process improvement.

Responsibilities

• Support end-to-end post-trade lifecycle for U.S. Equity products.
• Monitor trade flow, investigate exceptions, and resolve settlement issues.
• Coordinate with multiple teams and custodians to minimize settlement risk.
• Support T+1 settlement readiness through proactive controls.
• Produce operational reporting, KPIs, and management metrics.
• Support audits, regulatory requirements, and business continuity.
• Identify opportunities to increase Straight-Through Processing and reduce manual work.
