Job summary

Fervo Energy, headquartered in Houston, is seeking a Stock Plan Administrator to own the end-to-end administration of equity compensation programs, including RSU grants and vesting, the Employee Stock Purchase Plan, and 10b-5 trading plans. This role will be the operational backbone of a compliance-heavy function, processing transactions accurately and maintaining the systems of record.

You will work closely with Legal on insider trading policy, with Finance on equity expense and SEC reporting

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of experience administering equity compensation plans, including RSUs and ESPP.
• Experience with a stock plan administration platform (e.g., Fidelity, Shareworks, Certent, E*Trade, Computershare, or Carta).
• Working knowledge of insider trading compliance, Section 16, Form 4 filings, and 10b-5 trading plans.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical rigor; comfortable reconciling data across systems.
• High attention to detail and sound judgment handling confidential, market-sensitive information.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to explain equity mechanics to non-experts.

Responsibilities

• Equity Plan Administration: RSU grants, vesting, terminations, and forfeitures across multiple vesting schedules.
• Maintain the stock plan administration platform as the system of record, migrating data.
• Process and reconcile stock transactions across plan platform, payroll, and transfer agent.
• Insider Trading & Compliance Support: manage pre-clearance, administer 10b-5 plans, filings with outside counsel.
• Support Section 16 reporting and Form 4 filings, and assist with equity inputs to proxy statements and SEC filings.
• Monitor blackout windows and trading restrictions, flag potential issues.
• ESPP Administration: enrollment, contribution changes, purchase processing, disqualifying disposition tracking.
• Build scalable processes and self-service resources for high participation.
• Reporting & Cross-Functional Partnership: partner with Finance on equity expense reporting and audit support; work with Legal on compliance and SEC inputs; produce recurring/ad hoc equity reports.
• Employee Education & Communication: be primary contact for questions about RSUs, ESPP, vesting, and trading windows; create plain-language education materials.
