Job summary

Rox Data Corp in San Francisco is seeking an Equity Compensation and Payroll Lead to own payroll input, variable compensation and equity operations end to end. This is a Finance role, not HR or accounting, and is conducted in-person five days a week within the Finance Team.

The successful candidate will consolidate payroll for US employees via a Justworks PEO, manage India-based EOR, and implement strong controls across equity, taxes and reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Payroll tax mechanics at depth across multi-state withholding and filings.
• Equity administration for restricted stock, ISO/NSO, vesting and cap table reconciliation.
• Fringe benefit taxability including relocation and accountable-plan rules.
• Controls-driven payroll workflow design and fraud prevention.
• 8+ years in payroll operations or blended People/Finance roles with PE0 experiences.

Responsibilities

• Own payroll input control and approval with maker/checker separation and cutoff calendar.
• Handle non-sales variable compensation and route for approval with audit trail.
• Manage equity administration and payroll tax, including 83(b) elections and W-2 reporting.
• Oversee relocation, commuter benefits, and meal taxability under accountable plans.
• Consolidate international and EOR administration and reconcile invoices.
• Manage benefits census, ACA reporting and 401(k) data.
• Prepare for PEO exit readiness and transition planning.
