California Academic & Research Libraries seeks an Outreach and Student Engagement Librarian to expand the library’s presence across two campuses and online. This full-time faculty role focuses on equity, belonging, and student success, coordinating outreach, events, and engagement for a diverse student body at Diablo Valley College.

The position includes information literacy instruction, reference, liaison work, and governance responsibilities, with potential evening/online duties and on-campus

Formación

• The applicant must possess a Master’s in Library and Information Science or Library Science, or the equivalent.
• Equivalency petitions may be used if exact degree title is not present.
• Foreign degrees must be evaluated by a NACES agency if used for minimum qualifications.

Responsabilidades

• Provide reference service and instruction on information resources.
• Collaborate on information literacy instruction and course-integrated research.
• Develop and implement library resources and services for assigned subject areas.
• Serve as a liaison to connect departments to library services.
• Contribute to curriculum development and student learning outcomes assessment.
• Maintain the library website and stay current on information literacy and teaching methods.
• Participate in department planning, governance, and college committees.
• Engage in professional development and uphold professional conduct.
