Oakland Unified School District Office of Equity invites applications for the Specialist, Target Student Group Intervention. Qualifications

• Bachelor degree required.
• Five (5) years of experience in education, community development, or related field.
• Administrative experience and/or business management experience preferred.
• Demonstrated strong presentation and facilitation skills.
• Experience working with students in diverse urban public school settings preferred.
• Valid California Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Develop target student achievement plans for assigned populations and sites.
• Oversee daily targeted program site-based operations and events.
• Assist with internal and grant reporting to external funders.
• Coordinate site-based professional development and community events.
• Model and train staff to build high expectations for target student groups.
• Integrate academic and non-academic supports to improve attendance and achievement.
• Prepare and present reports to district leaders and partners.
• Support family engagement and community school supports for target groups.
• Train volunteers funded by grants and other sources.
• Serve as a content expert for assigned target student group.
• Participate in professional development opportunities.
• Provide cross training to staff within the department.
