New Paradigm For Education (NPFE) seeks a School Counselor to provide counseling and guidance services to students in Detroit.

The school counselor will impart individual and group counseling, classroom guidance, activities, parent consultation, registration of new students, academic planning and credit evaluation.The School Counselor will promote and enhance student learning through academic development and personal/social development.

Qualifications

• Certified Michigan School Counselor with active credential.
• Experience with K-12 students and counseling services.
• Familiar with culturally responsive approaches and family engagement.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling to students.
• Deliver classroom guidance and parent consultation.
• Assist with academic planning and credit evaluation.
