Job summary

The-Paideia-Academies-Inc seeks a School Counselor to implement a comprehensive counseling program in line with ASCA and CCBG frameworks at Paideia Liberal Arts Academy in Phoenix. You will support academic achievement, social-emotional development, and postsecondary planning with an emphasis on equity and advocacy.

Responsibilities include direct counseling, classroom guidance, college and career planning, dual enrollment coordination, family engagement, and data-driven program evaluation.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in School Counseling or related field.
• Valid Arizona Guidance Counselor Certificate.
• Valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• Experience with dual/concurrent enrollment programs is a plus.
• Familiarity with PowerSchool or Naviance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct counseling services using ASCA/CCBG models through classroom guidance, small groups, and individual planning.
• Support students in academic success, postsecondary goals, and personal development.
• Create a positive school culture reflecting Paideia's core values: Respect and Responsibility.
• Guide students in developing college and career plans including dual enrollment opportunities.
• Coordinate PLA's concurrent enrollment program with local college partners.
• Provide family workshops on academic planning, college readiness, and mental health.
• Refer families to community resources when necessary.
• Provide responsive counseling for behavior, attendance, trauma, or mental health needs.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and external agencies to support students.
• Maintain student records and participate in program evaluation and reporting.
