Job summary

Trying Together, based in Pittsburgh, seeks an Early Literacy Strategist to create equitable literacy opportunities for young children and their caregivers in Allegheny County. You will manage Buzzword Pittsburgh collaborations, coordinate monthly events, and work with Family Centers to deliver word-themed activities that boost literacy skills.

You will liaise with community partners, report to the Homewood Director, and use NeonCRM to track outcomes and relationships, ensuring continuous

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Education or related field.
• Deep knowledge of reading, writing, and literacy development.
• Strong interpersonal, problem‑solving, and collaboration skills.
• Experience building relationships with diverse individuals and groups.

Responsibilities

• Practice equity in daily decisions and seek input from affected people.
• Build a culture of belonging with inclusive meeting norms.
• Coordinate and manage Buzzword Pittsburgh events and content.
• Serve as liaison between Buzzword Pittsburgh partners and Allegheny County Family Centers.
• Evaluate development and learning with the Data & Research team and record impact.
