Qualifications

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills across multiple projects.
  • Knowledge of capital project development, budgeting, and procurement procedures.
  • Ability to present proposals and manage reporting to leadership and partners.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with setting up contracts for Best Starts for Kids (BSK) funded capital projects.
  • Track insurance requirements and coordinate with the Contract Specialist to identify missing information.
  • Assist with updating project status tracker and communicating issues to the BSK Capital Program Manager.
  • Develop BSK Capital Program orientation materials for community partners.
  • Develop RFP materials and application processes for competitive BSK funding opportunities.
  • Integrate equity, racial justice, and community-centered investment principles into planning and decision-making.
  • Review project proposals for alignment with BSK goals, equity outcomes, and feasibility.
  • Draft funding analyses and recommendations for leadership and committees; present as needed.
  • Assist with negotiating funding agreements and scopes of work.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and external partners to resolve challenges and support delivery.
  • Respond to inquiries from applicants and partners regarding BSK funding opportunities.
