Job summary

The Bluestone Group in New York is seeking an Equity Derivatives Operations Consultant to perform end-to-end trade validation and control for equity derivatives and structured payoff products.

You will verify economics against term sheets, review complex attributes, and coordinate with Front Office, Sales, Structuring, Risk and IT to resolve issues and ensure accurate booking and lifecycle processing.

Qualifications

• Strong mandatory experience in OTC equity derivatives and structured equity payoff products within a trade validation or middle office environment.
• Solid understanding of listed and OTC equity derivatives, including options, swaps, variance products, autocallables, structured notes, and other bespoke equity-linked products.
• Strong knowledge of trade lifecycle management and operational processes across front-to-back functions.
• Ability to interpret term sheets, pricing models, confirmations, and legal/transaction documentation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
• Experience in investigating booking discrepancies and independently driving issues to resolution.
• Good understanding of product economics, risk sensitivities, and the impact of trade capture quality on valuation and downstream processes.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to interact confidently with Trading, Structuring, Risk, Operations, Finance, and Technology teams.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Perform end-to-end trade validation and control for equity derivatives and structured equity payoff products, ensuring accuracy and completeness of bookings in internal systems.
• Verify trade economics against term sheets, confirmations, trader recaps, and booking models.
• Review and validate complex product attributes including payoffs, barriers, autocalls, digitals, knock-in/knock-out features, coupons, and underlying baskets/indices.
• Investigate and resolve trade capture issues, discrepancies, and exceptions in a timely manner with Front Office, Sales, Structuring, Operations, Risk, and IT teams.
• Monitor trade lifecycle events including amendments, cancellations, novations, resets, corporate actions, fixing events, and maturities.
• Perform daily controls and reconciliations to identify missing, unmatched, or incorrectly booked trades.
