Job summary

Mizuho in Banking Americas seeks an Equity Capital Markets Associate to contribute to the origination, structuring and execution of equity and equity-linked transactions for corporate clients, including IPOs, follow-ons and convertibles. You will support Senior Managing Directors and work with Corporate/Investment Banking, Debt Capital Markets, and product teams to deliver financing solutions.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Finance or Economics, 2–4 years in corporate finance/capital markets,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Economics.
• 2–4 years corporate finance and capital markets experience with a top tier global bank.
• Knowledge of corporate finance, securities, financial markets and risk & pricing analysis.
• Ability to synthesize large amounts of information and develop innovative ideas and/or product solutions.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist ECM professionals with deal origination and execution across a diverse range of product areas.
• Develop an understanding of market fundamentals and contribute market-informed financing strategies.
• Work on live transactions and interact with clients and professionals across the organization.
• Draft client pitches and marketing materials; support development of client relationships.
• Provide financial modeling, valuation, and market analysis support.
