Job summary

Mizuho markets Equity Capital Markets at the Analyst level, focusing on origination, structuring and execution of equity and equity-linked transactions for corporate clients in the US and Canada. The Analyst supports Senior Managing Directors across ECM and collaborates with Corporate/Investment Banking and Debt Capital Markets to deliver financing solutions and build client relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Economics and 1+ years corporate finance and capital markets experience with a top tier global bank.
• Ability to synthesize large amounts of information and develop innovative ideas and/or product solutions.
• Aptitude to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong written and oral communication skills and ability to convey ideas.

Responsibilities

• Assist ECM professionals with deal origination and execution across a diverse range of product areas.
• Develop an understanding of market fundamentals and make market-informed contributions based on financing strategies and economic factors that address clients’ specific needs.
• Work on live transactions and interact with clients and professionals from across the organization to build network and experience.
• Work as a product specialist with clients at top management level to create and deliver financing solutions through ECM products using financial and economic data and research.
• Draft client pitches and marketing materials.
• Assist in the development and continued cultivation of client relationships.
