Job summary

The Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC) is seeking an Equitable and Accessible Mobility Program Coordinator to advance inclusive transportation initiatives in the nine-county Bay Area. The role focuses on launching the TNC Access for All program, supporting CARE program delivery, administering the 5310 program, and coordinating with partner agencies and community organizations.

The Coordinator will manage grant projects, develop program guidelines, monitor spending, and prepare reports

Qualifications

• Familiarity with transportation approaches to advance equity for historically underserved populations.
• Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal collaborators as well as staff at partner agencies and organizations.
• Collaborative approach to building effective relationships with community-based organizations.
• Ability to manage multiple programs with strong time management skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Develop and refine guidelines for existing and new funding programs.
• Evaluate project submittals and develop proposed programs of projects for Commission approval.
• Prepare public-facing reports and presentations describing funding decisions for a variety of audiences.
• Execute grant agreements with project recipients.
• Review and process invoices.
• Monitor grant status and remaining funding balances in partnership with Finance colleagues.
• Build consensus for grant program guidelines and project selections among partner agency and community-based organization staff.
• Collaborate and develop partnerships with community-based organizations receiving grant funding.
• Provide technical assistance to community-based organizations receiving grants to support compliance with federal and state requirements.
• Represent MTC at meetings, review written reports and memoranda prepared by project staff and make presentations before MTC committees, executive staff, and other agencies.
• Perform other job-related duties as needed or assigned by the section.
