Job summary

Holt of California is seeking a hands-on Equipment Rental Associate to support daily rental operations at our Roseville location. You will assist customers, check equipment in and out, perform safety inspections, and help prepare machines for rental.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and the ability to lift up to 100 pounds. Prior yard experience is helpful; strong attention to detail and safety are essential.

Qualifications

• Reads and understands simple instructions and memos.
• Willing to present information to customers and coworkers in one-on-one or small groups.
• Maintains safety-focused approach to duties and tasks.
• Performs basic math for measurements, quantities, and unit conversions.
• Follows written or verbal instructions and diagrams to complete tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers arriving or picking up equipment from the location.
• Check in equipment and perform safety checks to ensure condition matches rental.
• Check out equipment and aid customers with loading and instructions for attachments.
• Inspect machines after rental to ensure good working condition.
• Prepare machines for rental by cleaning, checking fluids and safety features.
• Add oil, check tires, replace minor parts or accessories as needed.
• Flag equipment that needs repairs and coordinate with rental coordination/shop.
• Ensure machines are rent-ready and properly stored on the ready line.
• Assist drivers with loading/unloading and unchaining as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
