Job summary

Herc Rentals in Orlando, FL is seeking a Yard Technician to keep the facility clean and organized for daily operations. You will learn and grow within a team, with potential career advancement to Driver, Mechanic, ProSales Associate, or Sales and Operations Coordinator roles.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading, verifying tickets, cleaning and maintaining equipment, staging for drivers, and assisting customers with equipment selection and operation.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds safely.
• Must be able to work indoors and outdoors when required by the job.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload internal truck drivers, outside haulers and customers.
• Verify delivery tickets and returns for accuracy.
• Clean, maintain, and organize heavy equipment and machinery.
• Review orders and stage equipment for drivers.
• Perform routine checks on rental equipment to ensure safety and good working order.
• Maintain and keep yard and work area clean and organized.
• Answer and resolve customer questions.
• Provide customers with expert advice on equipment selection, operation and maintenance.
• Support all team members.
