Job summary

Altorfer Inc. in East Peoria, IL is seeking a dependable Yard/Shop Associate to inspect, wash and prepare rental equipment for the shop. You will load and unload trucks, help scan equipment, and maintain accurate paperwork in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires a HS diploma, ability to lift 50 lbs, and experience with MS Excel/Word. A valid driver's license with a clean record is essential, along with willingness to work overtime and some Saturdays.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience loading, unloading, and transporting construction equipment.
• Must lift up to 50 lbs.
• PC experience with MS Excel and Word; general computer literacy.
• Strong communication, planning, and organizational skills.
• Self-motivated, team oriented, and adaptable to change.
• Ability to work overtime and weekends.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record (no more than 2 minor violations in 3 years; no major violations in 5 years).

Responsibilities

• Inspect, wash, and prepare returned equipment for shop.
• Keep store and yard organized and safe.
• Load and unload trucks.
• Assist in scanning rental equipment and maintain paperwork.
• Inspect returned equipment for damage and document.
• Process and maintain related paperwork.
• May perform other duties as assigned.
