Job summary

Altorfer Inc. is seeking a hands-on warehouse/yard associate in Iowa to inspect, wash and prep equipment returning from rentals, and to load/unload trucks. The role requires keeping a safe, organized work area and supporting paperwork and scanning processes.

Candidates should have a high school diploma, experience with loading/unloading construction gear, ability to lift 50 lbs, and proficiency with MS Excel/Word. A valid driver’s license and reliable attendance are essential.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
Experience loading, unloading and transporting construction equipment.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
PC experience with MS Excel and Word; general computer literacy.
Multitasking with strong communication, planning, and organization.
Takes initiative, works well in a team, and adapts to change.
Willing to work overtime and weekends when needed.
Excellent written, email, and verbal communication.
Valid driver’s license with clean driving record (no more than 2 minor violations in 3 years; no major violations in 5 years).

Responsibilities

Inspect, wash and prepare for shop all equipment returning from rentals.
Maintain neat, organized and safe shop/yard appearance.
Load and unload trucks.
Assist in scanning rental equipment during delivery/return and maintain paperwork.
Inspect returned equipment for damage and document it.
Process and maintain all related paperwork.
May perform other related duties as requested.
