Job summary

Blaze Equipment in Jessup, MD seeks a Yard Associate to maintain a safe, organized equipment yard and support service, rental, sales, parts, and delivery activities. You will stage, move, inspect, clean, fuel, and load/unload equipment while working around forklifts, trailers, and customers.

The role requires attention to safety and detail, the ability to work outdoors year-round, and strong communication with branch staff and customers.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
1+ year yard, warehouse or equipment handling experience preferred.
Experience operating forklifts, trucks or trailers; CDL or forklift cert a plus.
Mechanical aptitude; comfortable around heavy equipment and fluids.
Strong verbal communication with customers, drivers and staff.
Dependable, safety-focused, organized and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

Maintain the equipment yard and storage areas in a clean, safe condition.
Stage, load, unload, and move equipment and parts using forklifts and pallet jacks.
Assist customers, drivers, technicians, and staff with yard activity and deliveries.
Perform basic yard checks, document location and visible damage, and report issues.
Support yard upkeep such as mowing, debris removal, and outdoor area cleanliness.
