Job description

Job Summary

Supervises daily operations of the equipment at the Materials Recovery Facility (MRF) in order to improve production, maintain costs, and ensure safety.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Manages daily equipment operations and maintains inventory for safety and operational supplies.
  • Reviews and evaluates work to ensure quality, timeliness, and adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Manages equipment logistics and materials; supervises daily equipment operations; orders supplies as needed.
  • Supervises equipment/operating staff and coordinates workflow and assignments toward the achievement of operational goals.
  • Oversees personnel needs including coaching, training, and evaluating employee performance. Provides input into termination, compensation, and promotion decisions.
  • Investigates, reviews, and controls implementation of safety regulations and company policies and procedures.
  • Creates and submits weekly and month‑end reports to senior management.
Supervisory Responsibilities

The highest level of supervisory skills required in this job is the management of non‑supervisory employees.

  • Direct supervision of 12 full‑time employees including forklift operators, front‑end loaders, and heavy equipment operators.

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED (accredited)
  • Experience: 4 years of relevant work experience.
B. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Other Requirements
  • None required.
C. Other Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required
  • Equipment operating, shipping and receiving, health and safety, and supervisory experience may be required.
  • Training experience strongly preferred.
Work Environment

Normal setting for this job is MRF/outdoor.
