Job summary

MarBorg Industries in Santa Barbara, CA is seeking an Equipment Wash Technician to wash, inspect and prepare sanitation equipment per company standards. You will assist with yard duties and preventative maintenance to keep equipment and yard in good condition.

Responsibilities include pumping and pressure washing portable restroom units, inspecting equipment, stocking supplies, and assisting with loading/unloading while maintaining a safe, clean work environment. A Class C license is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year related trade experience in service work for equipment, and/or facilities.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure a thorough quality check on all equipment.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and work closely with team.
  • Ability to obtain forklift certification.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid Class C driver’s license preferred.

  • Operate forklift for loading & unloading of materials and equipment.
  • Unload supply shipment and stock materials.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Equipment Wash Technician is responsible for washing, inspecting and preparing sanitation equipment according to company standards. Assist with yard duties and preventative maintenance activities to help keep sanitation equipment and yard in good working condition.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Include but are not limited to the following.

  • Pump, pressure wash portable restroom units, urinals, hand washing stations and event trailers.
  • Use pressure washer to clean portable restroom equipment.
  • Thoroughly inspect all sanitation equipment prior to delivery and when returned to the yard.

Less than high school education; or up to one year of related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read a limited number of two-and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one-or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Class C license preferred.
