The Equipment Technician is responsible for maintaining equipment, including assembly, cleaning, and inventory management. This position focuses on mechanical ventilators and coordinates the usage and record-keeping of patient oxygen.

Responsibilities

• Clean and assemble mechanical ventilators and prepare them for calibration.
• Clean, assemble, and check all minor therapeutic and diagnostic equipment, making them available for use.
• Perform inventory of disposable supplies, order necessary supplies, and coordinate stocking of respiratory therapy supplies.
• Refer inventory of non-storeroom supplies to Supervisor.
• Maintain and clean all equipment used for deliveries, restocking in compliance with infection control standards, and store equipment safely.
• Maintain inventory of essential supplies.
• Keep the supply storage area clean according to New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services regulations.
• Keep Manager/Supervisor informed of equipment and supply needs.
• Adhere to the standards outlined in the Medical Center's Organizational Competencies.
