Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals, Inc. is hiring a Technician 1 to join our service team. You will perform preventive maintenance and repairs on a diverse fleet to keep equipment safe and productive for customers.

The role offers extensive on-the-job training, opportunities for advancement into service or operations management, and a collaborative, safety-focused environment. A high school diploma or GED and 1–3 years of technician experience are preferred, with bilingual ability based on location.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; some trade school or equivalent training desired.
• 1 to 3 years of Technician experience with diesel equipment, heavy construction equipment or specialty lines equipment (large-scale generators, pumps, HVAC or Oil & Gas) strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of hydraulic systems and troubleshooting fundamentals.
• Knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting fundamentals.
• Bilingual (Spanish or Other) may be required based on location needs.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment to minimize downtime.
• Work with a fleet including Aerial Work Platforms, general construction tools and equipment.
• Fleet may include large-scale generators, pumps, HVAC or Oil & Gas equipment depending on location.
