Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals in Raleigh is seeking a Technician 1 to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on a variety of equipment, from pumps to HVAC systems, ensuring safe and reliable operation. You will build skills across makes and models, work with a team in a safety-focused environment, and progress toward a career track in service or operations management.

A high school diploma or GED is required; 1–3 years of diesel/heavy equipment experience is preferred; bilingual ability may be needed

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; some trade school or equivalent training desired.
• 1–3 years of Technician experience with diesel equipment, heavy construction equipment or specialty lines equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment in a safe, effective manner to minimize downtime.
• Work with a safety-focused team and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Operate on equipment such as Aerial Work Platforms, pumps, HVAC systems, or large-scale power generators as needed.
