Job summary

Arcosa Aggregates in Conroe, Texas, is seeking an Equipment Technician to support maintenance operations at our plant. You will ensure safe and efficient operation of plant systems by inspecting, maintaining, and repairing heavy equipment.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 2–4 years of related experience, and knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems. You will work in shop and field environments, promoting MSHA safety standards and keeping detailed maintenance

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2-4 years of related work experience.
• Experience with heavy equipment or diesel mechanics preferred.
• Knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• Ability to use tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Prompt, regular attendance and a team-based mindset.

Responsibilities

• Promote safety awareness and follow MSHA regulations.
• Inspect, diagnose, and repair heavy equipment including haul trucks, loaders, excavators, and dozers.
• Perform preventative maintenance: fluid checks, filter changes, lubrication, inspections.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues.
• Conduct daily equipment inspections and document findings.
• Maintain and repair plant equipment as needed.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance and repairs.
• Communicate equipment status with operators and supervisors.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns in shop and field environments.
• Maintain clean, safe, organized work areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
