Job description

About Us

Tridak, part of the Bachmann Chemical & Engineering family of brands is based out of Torrington, Connecticut. Tridak designs and manufactures syringe and cartridge filling systems in the United States while serving as the authorized US distributor for SAN-EI Tech dispensing equipment and SR-TEK material reservoirs. With over 40 years of experience in fluid control equipment, we provide complete solutions from trusted manufacturers backed by domestic inventory and technical support.

About You

We're seeking a results-focused, innovative, self-driven, and well-qualified individual to join our talented team as our Equipment Technician. In this role, you will provide outstanding technical support for Production and Engineering by thorough and detailed assembly, programming, analysis, data generation and technical support of a full range of products and platforms for the development of dispensing, filling, and specialized equipment for customers, external and internal.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and support new and existing products and technologies by conducting, and establishing, when necessary, effective testing methodologies and efficient means of physical testing and assembly of dispensing and automation equipment. Also, by analyzing project-specific challenges to create robust, reliable data in support of new and existing products.

  • Evaluate and assist in configuring fluid handling and robotics equipment by following and developing experimental processes with the goal of analyzing performance of products and providing high-quality product support in the introduction of new solutions and product offerings.

  • Perform analytical tests by operating testing instrumentation (such as thermal analysis instruments, voltage meters, spectrometers, radiometers, decibel meters, microscopes, scales, and cameras) in the performance evaluation of equipment. Also, by coordinating external testing and services to meet deadlines for deliverables.

  • Build subassemblies and finished units by following, and sometimes developing, work instructions in the inspection, fitting, and installation of component parts using hand tools, hand-held power tools, and fixtures. Create documentation such as quick-start guides, user manuals and product bulletins during the process of mechanical evaluation and testing of systems.

  • Report back on and complete projects within the predetermined timeframes by tracking assigned duties and projects, determining and disseminating progress and findings for further analyses, and - if necessary - mitigating unmet expectations by proactively communicating setbacks or project delays.

  • Maintain accurate inventory and logistics transactions with GlobalShop ERP by learning and maintaining proper processes, following procedures and coordinating with other team members or vendors as needed.
