Job summary

Automation Personnel Services is seeking an Equipment Technician for a company based in Sugar Land, Texas. Primarily be responsible for helping equipment and production engineers with overall equipment maintenance of wafer production division, including equipment repair and services, meeting production and quality standards in the most cost-efficient manner.

Assist the facility and EHS department with cleanroom and environment and install and build new tools.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in technical discipline (bachelor’s in science or engineering preferred).
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in electrical, chemical, or mechanical maintenance, preferably in a lab or production fab setting.
  • Familiarity with pump, chiller, cooling water filter, and gas bottle change service.
  • Knowledge of chemical safety and waste handling is preferred.
  • Basic machine shop skills (drilling, cutting, polishing) and proficiency in electrical wiring, soldering, and plumbing are a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail, results-oriented, and a team player.
  • Effective communication skills across business levels and functions.

Responsibilities

  • Assist equipment and production engineers with installation of new equipment and upgrades to existing machinery.
  • Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on assigned tools to support the production line.
  • Conduct routine inspections and monitor tool performance, reporting any errors or out-of-range readings.
  • Collaborate with the facility team to maintain cleanroom conditions and monitor DI water, nitrogen gas, and gas cylinder supplies.
  • Support EHS with chemical waste handling, treatment, and stocking acid and solvent chemicals.
  • Assist engineers in building or upgrading production tools using components and market-sourced parts.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and wear PPE in the manufacturing environment.

Equipment Technician

Automation Personnel Services is looking for an Equipment Technician for a company based in Sugar Land, Texas. Pay Rate

$20.00 – $26.00 an hour

Schedule and Hours

Monday through Friday9:00 am to5:30 pm

Equipment Technician Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist equipment and production engineers with the installation of new equipment and upgrades to existing machinery.
  • Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on assigned tools to support the production line.
