Qualifications

  • Experience with semiconductor tools: Thin Films, Wet & Dry Etch, Photolithography, CMP.
  • Experience in cleanroom/manufacturing environments.
  • Ability to read schematics and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
  • Diagnose equipment failures and implement effective solutions.
  • Execute equipment upgrades, modifications, and process improvements.
  • Support equipment qualification, calibration, and performance verification.
  • Manage spare parts inventory and maintenance records.
  • Collaborate with engineers and production teams to resolve equipment issues.
  • Follow all cleanroom, safety, and operational procedures.

The Equipment Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and continuous improvement of semiconductor manufacturing equipment. This role supports production by ensuring equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and maintaining a safe and efficient cleanroom environment.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with semiconductor manufacturing tools, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Scope of the Job:
  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
  • Diagnose equipment failures and implement effective solutions.
  • Execute equipment upgrades, modifications, and process improvements.
  • Support equipment qualification, calibration, and performance verification.
  • Manage spare parts inventory and maintenance records.
  • Partner with engineers and production teams to resolve equipment issues.
  • Follow all cleanroom, safety, and operational procedures.
Required Skills & Experience:
Education/Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1+ years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing, equipment maintenance, or equipment engineering.
  • Experience supporting semiconductor tools such as:
    • Thin Films
    • Wet & Dry Etch
    • Photolithography
    • CMP (Chemical Mechanical Planarization)
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or cleanroom environment.
  • Understanding of semiconductor fabrication, packaging, or testing processes.
Technical Skills
  • Troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, vacuum, and process systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, manuals, and technical documentation.
  • Experience working with gas and chemical delivery systems.
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and test equipment.
  • Familiarity with: MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems), SPC (Statistical Process Control), ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning)
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision

Work Conditions & Physical Requirements
  • Work in a fully gowned cleanroom environment.
  • Required PPE includes safety glasses, face shield, gloves, and steel-toe shoes.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and work with machinery throughout the shift.
  • Frequent handling of small components, tools, and manufacturing equipment.
  • Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 45 lbs.
  • Flexible to work alternate shifts based on business needs.
  • Position requires a high level of daily physical activity and movement.
