Base pay range
$50,000.00/yr - $60,000.00/yr

We seek a skilled Equipment Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will help build, modify, test, and troubleshoot custom equipment/machines/systems for various industries, including semiconductor process equipment, aerospace, automotive/EV, energy, and medical devices. This role involves working with a seasoned team of Mechanical, Electrical, Robotics, Automation, Manufacturing, Hardware, and Software Engineers, as well as other Technicians.
Responsibilities:
- Build, modify, test, and troubleshoot custom equipment/machines/systems.
- Work from engineering input, schematics, electrical diagrams, interconnect diagrams, blueprints, customer input, and specifications.
- Document procedures and results.
- Troubleshoot at component, systems, and board levels.
- Perform upgrades and calibrations.
- Understand voltages and currents.
- Work in a manufacturing floor environment on R&D prototype and experimental equipment.
- Support customers and travel to customer sites for installations and bring-up.
- Attend team meetings for discoveries.
Requirements:
- Knowledge and/or ability to work on multiple product lines and products from multiple industries.
- Preferred knowledge of panels and control boxes.
- Proficient in using test equipment such as Oscilloscopes, Digital Multi-Meters, Measuring Equipment, Automated Test Equipment, and other types of scopes.
- Ability to remove, replace, and re-test all types of parts, assemblies, sub-assemblies, boxes, power supplies, transformers, heating elements, cooling fans, etc.
- Skilled in using hand and power tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, sockets, electrical drills, etc.
- Experience in wiring and cable & harness work – routing, placements, and testing.
- Ability to swap out PCBs and re-test as needed, including rework of boards and soldering.
- Understanding of components such as resistors, diodes, capacitors, chips, microprocessors, etc.
- Ability to identify issues, provide solutions, and escalate issues as needed.
- Physical agility and the ability to maneuver around machines.
- Multi-tasking abilities to shift priorities as needed.
- Excellent communication skills – technical, written, verbal, listening, comprehension, and action.
- 5-15 years of experience preferred.
- Associates or Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
