Base pay range

$50,000.00/yr - $60,000.00/yr

We seek a skilled Equipment Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will help build, modify, test, and troubleshoot custom equipment/machines/systems for various industries, including semiconductor process equipment, aerospace, automotive/EV, energy, and medical devices. This role involves working with a seasoned team of Mechanical, Electrical, Robotics, Automation, Manufacturing, Hardware, and Software Engineers, as well as other Technicians.

Responsibilities:

1. Build, modify, test, and troubleshoot custom equipment/machines/systems.
2. Work from engineering input, schematics, electrical diagrams, interconnect diagrams, blueprints, customer input, and specifications.
3. Document procedures and results.
4. Troubleshoot at component, systems, and board levels.
5. Perform upgrades and calibrations.
6. Understand voltages and currents.
7. Work in a manufacturing floor environment on R&D prototype and experimental equipment.
8. Support customers and travel to customer sites for installations and bring-up.
9. Attend team meetings for discoveries.

Requirements:

1. Knowledge and/or ability to work on multiple product lines and products from multiple industries.
2. Preferred knowledge of panels and control boxes.
3. Proficient in using test equipment such as Oscilloscopes, Digital Multi-Meters, Measuring Equipment, Automated Test Equipment, and other types of scopes.
4. Ability to remove, replace, and re-test all types of parts, assemblies, sub-assemblies, boxes, power supplies, transformers, heating elements, cooling fans, etc.
5. Skilled in using hand and power tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, sockets, electrical drills, etc.
6. Experience in wiring and cable & harness work – routing, placements, and testing.
7. Ability to swap out PCBs and re-test as needed, including rework of boards and soldering.
8. Understanding of components such as resistors, diodes, capacitors, chips, microprocessors, etc.
9. Ability to identify issues, provide solutions, and escalate issues as needed.
10. Physical agility and the ability to maneuver around machines.
11. Multi-tasking abilities to shift priorities as needed.
12. Excellent communication skills – technical, written, verbal, listening, comprehension, and action.
13. 5-15 years of experience preferred.
14. Associates or Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
