Job summary

Skyworks Solutions, Inc. is seeking an Equipment Technician in Thousand Oaks, CA to support manufacturing equipment, drive uptime, and implement cost-saving improvements. You will collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams in a fast-paced, high-tech environment.

The role requires hands-on experience with Disco/Wet Benches and wafer fab equipment, ability to work overtime, and a proactive, team-oriented mindset. Cleanroom experience is preferred and training will be provided where needed.

Qualifications

• Diploma with minimum 3 years relevant working experience or bachelor’s degree in electrical/electronics/mechanical engineering.
• Minimum 3–6 years of experience with Disco/Wet Benches equipment.
• Overtime work may be required and cleanroom environment experience is needed.
• Able to work with minimal supervision and prioritize tasks according to procedures.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities; proactive and independent mindset.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, select, and justify equipment for manufacturing of company products.
• Oversee installation, modification, upgrade, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment.
• Liaise with vendors to resolve equipment issues and manage vendor performance to meet KPI/MTTR/MTBF goals.
• Establish projects to increase uptime, throughput, cost savings, and resolve equipment problems affecting manufacturing.
• Review Process SPC data, set up equipment FDC and machine control.
• Provide technical support to manufacturing equipment repair and process engineering teams.
• Define and write preventative maintenance procedures and schedules.
• Train shift members (PM operator, technician).
• Perform hardware troubleshooting and generate troubleshooting material for sharing with the team.
