Summary of Job Duties: This position will work Sun night - Thursday night. The Perioperative Care Service - Main Operating Room Equipment Technician (ET) works collaboratively with the staff in the operating room to assist in the safe and timely flow of patients through the operating rooms. The ET moves beds and equipment into and out of the operating rooms as needed and may on occasion be asked to assist with the transfer of patients to and from the operating table.
The ET must possess knowledge of specialized equipment used in the operating room in order to set up, troubleshoot and perform routine maintenance. The ET works closely with Clinical Engineering technicians to support preventative maintenance and repairs of equipment. The ET reports to the Director of Facilities and Operations for Perioperative Care Services.
Qualifications: High School Diploma/GED PLUS two (2) years of experience
