Job summary

Club Fitness is seeking an Equipment Technician to support the maintenance and repair of gym equipment at Club Fitness and Club Elite locations. This role requires travel within a regional area and a day shift.

You will perform service calls, diagnose issues, and repair electrical and mechanical components. A valid driver’s license is required; lifting up to 50 lbs is expected.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalency.
• 3-5 years of experience with gym equipment.
• Valid driver’s license, insurance, and a clean DMV report.
• Electronic and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of tools, equipment, and repair materials.

Responsibilities

• Travel to pre-determined locations within a region for service.
• Manage daily service calls; perform repairs per protocols and address emergencies.
• Maintain, research, and troubleshoot electrical components of equipment.
• Complete reports and computer work daily for assigned tasks.
• Lift up to 50 lbs and work in a physically active environment.

Overview

The Equipment Technician is a self-motivated, responsible, punctual, organized, and has excellent time management and communication skills. This position supports the physical repairs and maintenance of gym equipment at our Club Fitness and Club Elite locations.

Core Responsibilities

• Travel to pre-determined locations within a geographical region.
• Manage a daily routine of service calls, perform repairs from service calls, perform repairs adhering to all performance protocols, and address emergencies as assigned.
• Duties will include maintenance, research, and troubleshooting of essential electrical components.
• Close attention to detail.
• Perform other duties as assigned, with the ability to perform professionally in a fast-paced environment. Complete reports and computer work daily for assigned tasks.
• Duties will include physical effort, to include lifting to a minimum of 50lbs. Bending, squatting, reaching, standing for extended periods, and using ladders and extension ladders with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Actively assists the team in the completion of goals, cost savings, and is accountable for actions and results regarding the maintenance of equipment repairs within the assigned region.
• Leaves the club with equipment in working condition and communicates appropriately.

Qualifications

• Required High School Diploma or equivalency.
• 3-5 years of experience, preferred experience working with strength, cardio equipment, hydro-beds, massage chairs, and other equipment.
• Required to maintain a valid driver’s license, current automobile insurance, and a clean DMV report.
• Required electronic and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of, and experience with, all tools, equipment, and materials used for repairs is required.
• Ability to understand technical documents required.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift or move up to 50 lbs.
• Daily physical activity includes lifting weights, squatting, bending, reaching, spotting, and standing for prolonged periods of time.
