Job summary

Bechtel seeks a supervisor for its Brownsville equipment department to oversee fleet maintenance, fueling, and safe operation in alignment with project schedules and budgets. The role requires managing craft activities, directing subordinate staff, and enforcing safety standards across all equipment operations.

The incumbent will lead safety meetings, coordinate with other disciplines and vendors, and drive training and performance reviews to ensure efficient, compliant project execution.

Qualifications

• Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience in lieu of degree.
• Knowledge of multi-discipline construction and operating functions and the Zero Accident Philosophy.
• Familiarity with ES&H Handbook and Safety Management Plan.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and directs operations within the equipment department.
• Ensures all fleet equipment is maintained, fueled, and safe to operate.
• Plans schedules, reviews workmanship, and ensures quality of work.
• Coordinates activities with other disciplines and vendor representatives.
• Evaluates training needs and conducts employee reviews.
