RaceTrac, a leading convenience retailer, is seeking an Equipment Specialist – Store Support to assist In-House Maintenance Technicians and vendors with parts and equipment ordering. You will source parts, manage vendor relationships, and ensure timely communication to keep store equipment operational.
You’ll provide quotes, purchase orders, and help onboard new specialists, while producing regular reports to support store operations. Strong Excel and Workday experience are valued.
RaceTrac Company Overview Job Description: The Equipment Specialist – Store Support supports the RaceTrac’s In-House Maintenance Technicians and 3rd party vendors with parts and equipment ordering to keep RaceTrac store equipment operational, giving our guests the best possible experience. This individual source parts and equipment, manages vendor relationships, and provides timely communication with internal and external vendors. The Equipment Specialist – Store Support provides excellent customer service and supports the ever‑changing needs of the business.
Purchase equipment and follow up on orders to ensure accurate and efficient delivery for store operations. Adding said items to the warehouse through Workday. Manage and establish vendor relationships and negotiate pricing on parts and equipment to ensure that RaceTrac maintains the most cost‑efficient pricing strategy. Provide Store Support Field Services Team with quotes and purchase orders for their work orders and follows up to ensure the invoice has been paid. Maintain relationships with internal departments including, but not limited to, Store Support and Operations. Produce and monitor reports on a weekly and monthly basis. Assist in the onboarding of new hire specialists as needed.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel required. 1+ years’ experience in equipment purchasing or another buyer role preferred. Experience managing vendor relationships preferred. Knowledge of Workday Inventory or other inventory platforms is a plus. Knowledge of Service Channel or other ticketing platforms is a plus.
