Job summary

North Ridge Country Club Inc. is seeking a Shop Assistant to support the Equipment Manager and Senior Technician. You will perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks while assisting with more complex repairs.

You will help keep the workshop organized, prepare tools, and ensure safety protocols are followed. This hands-on role offers learning opportunities in diagnostic and repair skills within a golf course maintenance environment.

Qualifications

Must be highly motivated and willing to learn.
Ability to follow directions from supervisors.
Ability to communicate issues with equipment.
Ability to work early morning starts, select weekends, and holidays throughout the year for large events (if assigned).
Basic understanding of small engines and hand tools.
Knowledge of, and adherence to, safety protocols when handling hazardous materials or heavy machinery.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively to achieve goals.
Ability to efficiently multitask under pressure with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

Assist the Equipment Manager and Senior Technician with equipment repairs.
Keep shop clean and organized.
Assist in receiving broken equipment from golf course workers and helping communicate to supervisors what issue the equipment is experiencing.
Perform basic, routine maintenance as assigned.
Return repaired equipment to their designated spot.
