Job summary

Vermeer Irving is seeking a Service Technician to perform high-quality equipment repairs and provide excellent customer service. You will maintain detailed records for time, parts, purchases and repairs, and work with shop tools and company vehicles.

Responsibilities include reconditioning equipment, diagnostic inspections, communicating with customers and coworkers, following safety rules, and representing the company at events.

Qualifications

• Mechanical and technical aptitude with safe work habits.
• Strong electronic diagnostic capabilities and vehicle/equipment familiarity.
• Customer service orientation and reliable, ethical approach.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and adapt to environment.
• Good communication with customers, suppliers and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Reconditions and repairs equipment and components.
• Maintains detailed records for time, parts, supplies and purchases.
• Maintains shop tools, company equipment and vehicles.
• Performs diagnostic inspections as directed.
• Interacts with customers and coworkers; may interact with subcontractors.
• Follows all safety rules, regulations and company policies.
• Represents the company at events and training sessions.
• Performs additional duties as assigned by management.
