Job summary

United Rentals is the world’s largest equipment rental provider. As a Service Tech I in Dover, DE, you will perform maintenance checks, assist with minor repairs and equipment deliveries, and ensure rental readiness with a focus on safety and customer service.

You’ll report conditions to management, organize inventory, and have opportunities to advance within the Service Department. We value teamwork and strong communication across shifts.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver\'s license with acceptable driving record.
• Basic knowledge of Diesel Engines, Vacuum Trucks, AC Systems, RV Systems.
• Strong mechanical aptitude including knowledge of tools applicable to position.
• Basic plumbing knowledge.
• Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills.
• Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance checks on rental equipment before and after use.
• Report machine condition to Management.
• Perform minor repairs of rental equipment including checking oil, grease, fluids, electrical systems, AC systems, Plumbing, and tagging of equipment for rental ready status.
• Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment & parts.
• Manage and organize inventory.
• Other duties assigned as needed
