Job summary

Chet’s Rent-All is seeking an Equipment Service Technician in Brighton, MI. This full-time role keeps rental equipment safe, reliable, and ready for customers by performing routine maintenance, inspections, and basic repairs. You’ll support drivers, explain safety procedures, and help ensure a first-class rental experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Mechanical aptitude and basic maintenance skills.
• Ability to operate or learn to operate forklifts and yard equipment.

• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Physical ability to lift, move, and handle equipment.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Team-oriented with a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to all customers and partners.
• Operate equipment for loading and unloading for customers, internal drivers, and outside haulers.
• Follow all safety procedures and properly use PPE.
• Explain safe operating procedures of equipment to customers.
• Perform routine checks to ensure equipment is safe and in proper working condition.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized yard, storage areas, and workspaces.
• Clean and maintain the appearance of equipment.
• Perform basic maintenance tasks on equipment or facility.
• Complete inspection checklists and report issues to the Store Manager.
• Inspect returned equipment for damage, missing parts, or maintenance needs.
• Support team members as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
