Chet’s Rent-All, a family-owned equipment and tool rental company serving the greater Detroit area since 1946, is seeking an Equipment Service Technician. You will ensure rental gear is safe, reliable, and ready for customers, supporting a standout rental experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid driver’s license; Chauffeur license preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude and basic maintenance skills.
• Ability to operate forklifts and yard equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and safety; outdoor work.
• Physical ability to lift and move equipment.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Team-oriented with a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to all customers and partners.
• Operate equipment for loading and unloading for customers, internal drivers, and outside haulers.
• Follow safety procedures and properly use PPE.
• Explain safe operating procedures of equipment to customers.
• Perform routine checks to ensure equipment is safe and in proper working condition.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized yard, storage areas, and workspaces.
• Clean and maintain the appearance of equipment.
• Perform basic maintenance tasks on equipment or facility.
• Complete inspection checklists and report issues to the Store Manager.
• Inspect returned equipment for damage, missing parts, or maintenance needs.
• Secure equipment to prevent accidents, hazards, or unauthorized use.
• Support team members as needed.

Key Responsibilities
