Job summary

Vermeer Great Plains is seeking a Service Assistant in Olathe, KS for a part-time role in the Service department. You will help maintain a clean, safe shop environment, load/unload equipment, perform daily forklift inspections, and assist technicians with administrative tasks.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, basic PC skills, and a willingness to learn the industry. A valid driver’s license is required; occasional weekend work may be needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.1 year of experience in similar role or industry recommended.
• Equipment operator experience preferred.
• Valid unrestricted driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Safely load and unload equipment.
• Perform daily inspections of forklift and shop equipment.
• Clean, wash, grease and organize equipment and shop areas.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of employee areas, shop, yard and building.
• Assist with administrative tasks and service scheduling.
