Job summary

Continental Services is seeking an Equipment Repair & Maintenance Technician in Livonia to service vending, micro market, and office coffee equipment. You will transport, install parts, and perform field repairs, ensuring continuous operation of machines across regional accounts.

The role requires experience with vending or small machines, and a valid driver’s license with the ability to drive a company vehicle. DOT physical may be needed, with a performance‑driven, customer‑facing focus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience repairing vending, coffee, or small machines.
• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, HVAC, or electronics.
• Valid, clean Chauffeur’s license required.
• Ability to pass Department of Transportation (DOT) physical.

Responsibilities

• Repair and install vending, office coffee, and micro market equipment to keep machines running.
• Transport equipment, install parts, and perform repairs at accounts using company vehicle.
• Troubleshoot and restore malfunctioning machines in the field.
• Communicate professionally with dispatchers and clients.
• Assist with electrical wiring and plumbing as needed.
• Respond promptly to customer needs to ensure satisfaction.
• Support a service-oriented environment and maintain a positive attitude.
• Additional projects and assignments as needed.

The Experience You’ll Create:

The Equipment Repair & Maintenance Technician will be responsible for transport, installation (if applicable), and maintaining equipment, replacement parts, tools, and micro market and office coffee equipment in an organized and structured manner. The Field Service Technician is responsible for in field rebuilding of vending, micro market, and office coffee equipment.

Tool Allowance provided $100/year. Ability to bring company vehicle home.

• Responsible for repairing and installing vending, office coffee, and micro market equipment to promote continuous operation of the machines.
• Transports equipment, installs replacement parts, and performs repairs using tools and other vending equipment at various accounts/locations throughout the region using a company vehicle.
• Troubleshoot to restore malfunctioning machine to working order in the field.
• May include swapping failed equipment, cleaning, preventative maintenance, and minor adjusting of the malfunctioning component of the machine.
• Communicate professionally with dispatchers and clients.
• Will run electrical wire and plumbing tubes as needed.
• Responds promptly to customer needs/requests with the goal of ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Supports a service-oriented environment that leads others to improve their service actions.
• Maintains positive and enthusiastic attitude with co-workers and customers.
• Follows through with action when a customer makes a special request or asks questions.
• Continuously seeks to exceed customer expectations and anticipates their needs ahead of time.
