Job summary

Continental Services in Livonia is seeking a Field Service Technician to install, repair, and maintain vending and coffee equipment across accounts. You will transport parts, perform on-site repairs, and troubleshoot issues to keep machines running smoothly.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, experience with vending equipment, and a valid driver’s license with ability to pass a DOT physical. Company vehicle may be provided for home use.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience repairing vending, coffee, or small machines.
• Valid, clean Chauffeur’s license and ability to pass DOT physical.
• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, HVAC, or electronics.

Responsibilities

• Repairing and installing vending, coffee, and micro market equipment to promote continuous operation.
• Transport equipment, install replacement parts, and perform repairs using tools in the field.
• Troubleshoot to restore malfunctioning machines.
• Communicate professionally with dispatchers and clients.
• Run electrical wires and plumbing tubes as needed.
• Respond promptly to customer needs to ensure satisfaction.

The Experience You’ll Create:

The Field Service Technician will be responsible for transport, installation (if applicable), and maintaining equipment, replacement parts, tools, and micro market and office coffee equipment in an organized and structured manner. The Field Service Technician is responsible for in field rebuilding of vending, micro market, and office coffee equipment.

Tool Allowance provided $100/year. Ability to bring company vehicle home.

• Responsible for repairing and installing vending, office coffee, and micro market equipment to promote continuous operation of the machines.
• Transports equipment, installs replacement parts, and performs repairs using tools and other vending equipment at various accounts/locations throughout the region using a company vehicle.
• Troubleshoot to restore malfunctioning machine to working order in the field.
• May include swapping failed equipment, cleaning, preventative maintenance, and minor adjusting of the malfunctioning component of the machine.
• Communicate professionally with dispatchers and clients.
• Will run electrical wire and plumbing tubes as needed.
• Responds promptly to customer needs/requests with the goal of ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Supports a service-oriented environment that leads others to improve their service actions.
• Maintains positive and enthusiastic attitude with co-workers and customers.
• Follows through with action when a customer makes a special request or asks questions.
• Continuously seeks to exceed customer expectations and anticipates their needs ahead of time.
• Additional projects and assignments as needed.

Ingredients for Thriving:
