Job summary

Energy Transfer is seeking an Equipment Technician to collect, analyze, and report on the health of rotating equipment using vibration, thermography, oil analysis, and related performance data. You will work with operations, engineers, and maintenance to troubleshoot and support multiple sites.

Requirements include 0–4+ years in oil and gas operations and strong analytical and data-reporting skills. The role involves field and shop oversight with potential travel and a supportive lubrication

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in oil and gas operations (Level A/B/C).
• Ability to perform vibration, oil, and machinery analysis.
• Proficiency with SAP and data reporting.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a vibration analysis program with routes and frequency.
• Perform rotating and/or reciprocating equipment analysis.
• Perform motor and/or engine analysis.
• Develop and maintain lube oil analysis program with routes and frequency.
• Periodic data acquisition including vibration, temperatures, flow, and oil samples.
• Analyze data to resolve or anticipate equipment failures.
• Lead root cause failure analysis using TapRoot process.
• Implement continuous monitoring systems and alarms.
