Job summary

Qnity is seeking an Area Equipment Engineer to support production by providing technical expertise on equipment failures and repairs. You will work with plant reliability engineers, process engineers and maintenance teams to implement systems-based improvements and mentor process engineers.

Responsibilities include leading downtime RCIs, ensuring proper engineering input for repair details, and supporting capital projects with maintainability input.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in manufacturing, reliability, or engineering.
• Strong problem-solving and multi-task prioritization.
• Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Hands-on approach to drive change with operators and technicians.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME in equipment failures and repair techniques during RCIs.
• Provide technical troubleshooting support for unit equipment and maintenance.
• Lead/participate in downtime-related RCIs and ensure proper data for repairs.
• Contribute to development of work orders for critical equipment during turnarounds.
• Support reliability reviews and cross-functional continuous improvement efforts.
