Job summary

Edwards Lifesciences is seeking a Maintenance and Manufacturing Support Technologist to provide technical manufacturing support to Operations and Engineering. The role supports multiple areas, including equipment validation, preventive maintenance, and documentation control, with a 1st shift starting at 5am on a 4/10 schedule.

You will collaborate across Engineering, CAD, and Quality to ensure equipment reliability and process improvements in a medical device manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or equivalent; 6 years related experience required.
• Associate’s Degree or equivalent; 4 years related experience required.
• Experience in manufacturing and/or medical device preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and relationship building skills.
• Problem solving methodology, root cause analysis, and GDP (Good Documentation Practices).
• Strong computer skills, including MS Office Suite; manufacturing software (JDE, QMS, PLM) to update documentation; CAD if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Design, set-up and execute feasibility studies, experiments, and tests to develop findings for validation and improvement of equipment and manufacturing processes based on engineering principles.
• Perform preventive maintenance routines on complex equipment to validate user operation and avoid downtime.
• Check for failures in equipment and processes, and perform corrective actions with impact assessment reports.
• Review documentation and ensure information is catalogued and transferred to ECRs, SOPs, drawings, and tooling for Engineering approval.
• On-time arrival to work and regular attendance; maintain full 8-hour shift or longer.
• Collaborate with Engineering and CAD/Designers to develop new basic tools and troubleshoot manufacturing equipment.
