Job summary

United Rentals, the world’s largest equipment rental provider, is seeking an Equipment Associate to assist service technicians, sales staff and branch personnel with a variety of manual tasks to ensure smooth operations.

Your primary objective is to provide labor support, deliver equipment, and help prepare units for rental, with opportunities to advance into Driver and Service Technician development programs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Effective communication, multitasking and teamwork are essential.
• Diligent attention to safety in all tasks.
• Superior customer service skills expected.

Responsibilities

• Check equipment for damage, hours used, mileage and fuel level upon return to the branch.
• Inspect rental equipment for safety decals and ensure good working order.
• Clean equipment and maintain a clean work area.
• Load and unload rental equipment and prepare equipment for rental.
• Checkout and demonstrate equipment for customers and drive a delivery truck for pick‑up/drop‑off.
• Other duties as assigned.
